Communication has always been an interest of mine, so much so, that I attained a Communication degree and set up a business writing business – Sue Avison Consulting (formerly Say It Once Ltd). Communicating in plain English so your message is understood by your reader – the first time it’s read – is key to efficient business communication.

All my life, my work has been more about being purposeful and fulfilling, than simply something I do. I began volunteering when I had a young family and I have been fortunate that my volunteer involvement has led to many wonderful opportunities in paid work. Gandhi’s famous saying; “be the change you want to see in the world” has been an underlying principle for my work and has opened up many exciting and interesting opportunities for me.
As a Rotarian and a trustee of Nextstage Theatre Charitable Trust, Dare2Discover and Innovative Young Minds Charitable Trust I enjoy having an opportunity to give back to the community.
